Hangzhou Dianzi University Information Engineering School (HZIEE, website) is the first batch of independent colleges held by Hangzhou Dianzi University in 1999 and approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and confirmed by the Ministry of Education in 2004. The college is located on the beautiful Qingshan Lake in Lin’an District of Hangzhou. The college has more than 8,200 full-time undergraduate students.

The college adheres to the fine tradition of “Unity, Diligence, Practicality and Innovation” of Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology, and carries forward the spirit of “Unity, Self-improvement, Truth-seeking, and Innovation”. The development concept of industry enterprise demand, production and education integration school-enterprise cooperation, adheres to the orientation of students’ application ability training, cultivates high-level comprehensive professional technical talents suitable for the development needs of industry enterprises, and is committed to building a certain influential teaching in the province.

The college adheres to the “student-oriented” and strengthens the cultivation of students’ innovative application ability. In the past 5 years, the college has won 623 provincial and above competition awards, covering more than 40 projects and categories such as electronic design, multimedia, service outsourcing, case analysis, and accounting informationization. The number of students participating in the competition has reached 8,300, and the awards have been won. The number of people reached 2,164. In the “Assessment of Innovative Talents Training and Discipline Competition in Chinese Universities” issued by the National Institute of Higher Education, the College ranked third among the national independent colleges in the 2012-2016 National Undergraduate Competition Evaluation Undergraduate Group. In 2015-2017, Zhejiang Education Evaluation Institute conducted a follow-up survey on the career development and quality training of graduates in the province. The college ranked among the top three in the province’s independent colleges.

International Cooperation

The college actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, expands students’ international horizons, and has established friendly relations with more than 30 universities in more than 10 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Britain, Ireland, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Focus on the 3+2 masters of the University of New Zealand, Passages to the United States to study the study tour, the Chinese and foreign students to study in the United States, the Russian National Institute of Advanced Economics, the exchange program, the Western Oregon University Exchange Program, the British BPP Six major projects including the University’s “ACCA” exchange program.
