Shaanxi University of Technology (SNUT) is located in Hanzhong City, a famous historical and cultural city in China. It is located in the Qinling Mountains and Nanping Bashan in Hanzhongbei, and the Hanshui River runs through it. There is no heat in summer, no cold in winter, and the climate is humid. It is suitable for studying and living. It is known as the birthplace of Han family and the Chinese cornucopia.
Founded in 1958, the school is a provincial higher education institution with a 60-year history and is one of the first universities in the country to have a bachelor’s degree. He has experienced the development stages of Hanzhong University, Hanzhong Teachers College, Peking University Hanzhong Branch, and Shaanxi Institute of Technology. In 2001, Hanzhong Teachers College and Shaanxi Institute of Technology merged into Shaanxi Institute of Technology. In 2016, approved by the Ministry of Education, Shaanxi Institute of Technology changed its name to Shaanxi University of Technology.
Shaanxi University of Technology has three campuses with a total campus area of 1.36 million square meters and a total school building area of 680,000 square meters. There are now 17 colleges and 2 teaching and experimental training centers. There are 65 undergraduate majors. It has 7 first-level master’s degree programs in Chinese language and literature, mechanical engineering, biology, chemistry, Marxist theory, food science and engineering, materials science and engineering, and has 26 provincial research centers and service platforms. The total value of teaching and research equipment is 341 million yuan. The University has a collection of 2,235,300 books.
