Anhui Technical College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (安徽机电职业技术学院), founded in 1935, is a private Neith industrial vocational school in Anhui. It is one of the earliest vocational education schools in the country.

Anhui Technical College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has gone through the Wuhu Electric Power School, Wuhu Electrical Manufacturing School, Wuhu Electrical Manufacturing College, etc., and is placed under the leadership of the State First Ministry of Mechanical Industry. In 1972, it was renamed Anhui Wuhu Mechanical School as the leader of Anhui Provincial Machinery Department. In 1978, with the approval of the State Council, Anhui Mechanical and Electrical College was established on the basis of Anhui Wuhu Mechanical School, and it is now renamed Anhui Engineering University. The Anhui Mechanical and Electrical Institute moved out in 1986, and the Anhui Provincial People’s Government decided to restore the Anhui Wuhu Mechanical School at its original location, under the leadership of the Provincial Machinery Department. In 2003, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People’s Government, it was independently upgraded from Wuhu Mechanical School to Anhui Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology.
