Established in 1965, Hunan Modern Logistics College (湖南现代物流职业技术学院) is the only public full-time general college in the country that specializes in modern logistics. It is now affiliated to the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province. The school is jointly established by the Hunan Provincial People’s Government and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, an exemplary higher vocational college in Hunan Province, an excellent institution for assessing the level of personnel training of the Ministry of Education, a pilot college designated by the Ministry of Education for higher vocational apprenticeships, Logistics Vocational Education Talent Training Base. Hunan’s first vocational education group, Hunan Modern Logistics Vocational Education Group, which was set up in 2008 by the school, was rated as the Hunan Model Vocational Education Group. “The typical group-based schooling model. The school is also the only vocational college in the province that has been included in the construction of engineering research centers and the only province in Hunan that has been included in major scientific and technological research. The school has been rated as “Advanced Unit in Hunan Employment Work” for 6 consecutive years.

Hunan Modern Logistics College connects the logistics industry in an all-round way to create a large professional group of modern logistics. There are now three special professional groups of “modern logistics management”, “smart logistics technology” and “modern logistics business”. And set up teaching institutions and majors around modern logistics, including logistics management college, logistics engineering college, logistics information college, logistics business college, logistics humanities and arts college and international cooperation and continuing education college six secondary colleges, logistics management, logistics 27 majors including engineering technology, logistics information technology, Internet of things technology, logistics financial management, etc. Among them, logistics management is the first batch of exemplary specialty in Hunan Province; logistics information technology is a specialty in Hunan Province and a key construction specialty supported by the central government; logistics Engineering technology is a key construction specialty supported by the central government; accounting is a provincial-level specialty. Our school is a national-level teaching team construction unit and an admissions unit for international students in China that has been filed by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education. Hunan Modern Logistics College has 3 provincial teaching teams of modern logistics professional group, logistics engineering technology major, and logistics information technology major. There are a group of provincial professional leaders, provincial teaching teachers, provincial young backbone teachers, and logistics promotion in Hunan Province. Expert members of the Development Committee and Hunan Provincial Logistics Standardization Committee participated in the formulation of industrial development plans such as the Hunan Province logistics industry revitalization implementation plan, Hunan Province ’s “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” logistics industry development plan, and Changzhutan logistics plan. R & D of 165 national and provincial scientific research projects and a number of enterprise projects.

Hunan Modern Logistics College has achieved a series of honors and achievements. In terms of professional construction and skill competition, our school’s three major specialty groups, “Modern Logistics Management”, “Smart Logistics Technology”, and “Modern Logistics Business”, were shortlisted in Hunan Province’s first-class specialty group construction projects. The school won the championship of the design and implementation of smart logistics solutions in the higher vocational group of the National Vocational College Student Skills Competition, the Internet of Things application technology event, the national award for the “Challenging Cup” for students’ innovation and entrepreneurship, and the first prize of the National Vocational College Teacher Skill Competition . In 2018, the province’s teachers competed in teaching ability, and our school’s teachers won the top ten in the province. The core index reflecting the quality of students’ training-the graduation design spot checks and skills spot checks in the past three years, the passing rate is 100%, ranking the top ten in the province. As for the construction of key projects, the national modern apprenticeship-logistics engineering technology major and logistics management major successfully passed the mid-term inspection by the Ministry of Education, and the project construction achievements have been highly evaluated by the expert group. The construction and application of e-learning space in our school have been rated as the outstanding school for popularizing activities of e-learning space in 2018 by the Ministry of Education. In 2019, our school became the lead unit of the pilot project of the “1 + X” certificate system for the national logistics management major and the first batch of national vocational education teacher teaching innovation team building units; the national vocational teaching resource base of logistics information technology was successfully established. Our school won the first Hunan Civilized Campus. In terms of international cooperation in running schools and training, our school and North Hessen University of Applied Technology have expanded their cooperation in running schools, conducted multiple foreign aid training courses for the Belt and Road countries, and obtained the few vocational college qualifications in the province that recruit international students , “Quality Provincial Vocational College Teacher Quality Training Base” approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance vocational college teacher quality improvement plan national level training project management office.
