Guangzhou City Polytechnic (广州城市职业学院, website) is a higher vocational college organized by the People’s Government of Guangzhou City in March 2005 and approved by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. The college was inaugurated in September 2005. In May 2009, the Guangzhou Municipal Government approved the addition of the “Guangzhou Community College” brand to become the first community college in Guangzhou.
Guangzhou City Polytechnic is based in Guangzhou and serves the development of the city. The history of the school can be traced back to 1962. It has trained more than 300,000 talents for all sectors of society in more than 50 years and has been widely praised by the society. In December 2009, the college passed the Ministry of Education’s talent training evaluation with excellent results. In November 2013, it was established as a model vocational college in Guangdong Province by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education. Guangzhou City Polytechnic is located in Guangzhou, an important national center city, with 5 campuses. Guangyuan South Campus and Guangyuan North Campus are located under the scenic Baiyun Mountain and the shore of Luhu Lake. Haizhu, Binjiang and Yuexiu campuses are located in the center of Guangzhou.
