Postdoctoral Fellowship Position on Condensed Matter Theory – Tsinghua University, Institute for Advanced Study

Professor Hong Yao’s research group at the Institute for Advanced Study, Tsinghua University (IASTU), is seeking applications for postdoctoral fellow positions starting any time in 2025.

Yao group’s research mainly focuses on the following directions: (i) theory of correlated quantum phases of matter (including high-temperature superconductors, quantum spin liquids, and exotic quantum phase transitions); (ii) computation of quantum many-body systems (including quantum Monte Carlo, DMRG, and machine learning); and (iii) quantum computation (including quantum algorithms and topological quantum computation).

Appointments of postdoctoral fellowship positions are offered for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of extending for one additional year. The annual salary for postdoctoral fellows will be competitive, at least RMB 300,000/year.
