About Role

The Future Skills teacher is a person who has a passion for skills-based education, is flexible in their approach, and is enthusiastic and able to teach concepts and ideas that are not typically part of the traditional classroom. Extensive training will be provided for the specific content areas by our external providers and teaching faculty. The innovative new Future Skills course will teach and develop Key Stage 3 (Years 7 – 9) students Approaches to Learning (AtL) skills, using a diverse and exciting curriculum as the vehicle for learning.
Our Future Skills teacher will need to demonstrate an innovative approach and resilience – this is a new course and the teacher will have considerable input into its design, including what is taught and how, as well as helping to shape the course in future years. In addition to this role, the teacher must be able to teach Chinese language and English or Humanities.

The purpose of this course is to develop essential skills for the modern world such as collaboration, communication, and critical thinking, to ensure that our students can effectively and purposefully navigate life beyond school in a connected and increasingly digital society. The content matter taught will be diverse, ranging from financial literacy to design thinking techniques, with an emphasis on constructively and critically engaging with Artificial Intelligence.

Dulwich College Suzhou opened in 2007 and is recognised as the leading international school in the region. Our College is a Co-Educational Day School for students from Age 2 to 18. We have 800 students, spanning over 30 nationalities, with 420 students in Primary School (Nursery to Year 6) and 380 students in Senior School.
