[History] Anhui Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1958 and was upgraded to “Anhui Textile Engineering College” in 1960. In 1999, it held higher vocational education and was one of the first batch of higher vocational colleges in Anhui Province approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2003, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People’s Government, the former Anhui Light Industry School, Anhui Material Engineering School, and Anhui Industrial Economics School were merged into Anhui Textile Vocational Technical College and renamed Anhui Vocational Technical College.
