Introduction to Changchun University of Chinese Medicine

Changchun University of Chinese Medicine (长春中医药大学, website) started in Changchun Municipal Traditional Chinese Medicine Training School, established in 1950. It was formerly known as Changchun College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was established in 1958, and was renamed Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2006. The school is a provincial key university of Jilin Province, a national basic capacity construction engineering university in the middle and western universities, a people’s government of Jilin Province and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly building the university.

Changchun University of Chinese Medicine has trained more than 50,000 talents at all levels for the country, with alumni all over the world. The University currently has 12,696 full-time students, including 10,713 undergraduates and 1,780 graduate students. There are 114 doctoral supervisors and 618 master supervisors. 3 masters of Chinese medicine, 1 Bethune Medal, 1 chief scientist of the National 973 Project, 2 national leaders of traditional Chinese medicine “Qi Huang Scholar”, 4 national excellent teachers, 2 national famous Chinese medicine practitioners, and national colleges and universities There are 2 teaching teachers, 39 people who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, 2 people in the New Century Excellent Talents Program of the Ministry of Education, and 25 instructors who inherit the academic experience of old Chinese medicine experts.

The university has two post-doctoral mobile stations for first-level disciplines, two doctoral degree authorizations for first-level disciplines, one doctoral degree authorization, and ten doctoral degree authorizations for secondary disciplines. There are currently 19 key disciplines of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 4 distinctive high-level disciplines in Jilin Province, and 2 key disciplines in the province. The school has 22 undergraduate majors, including 4 national specialty specialty construction sites and 1 national major comprehensive reform pilot specialty. There is one national-level talent training model innovation experimental area. There are 2 national-level excellent resource sharing courses, 3 national-level excellent courses, and 49 editors of planning textbooks.

Changchun University of Chinese Medicine has 46 major key scientific and technological projects such as the National Key R & D Plan Project, the National Social Science Fund Project, the “973” Project, the Fourth Survey of Chinese Medicine Resources, and the National Natural Science Fund Project. It has obtained 459 high-level scientific research achievements, including 2 national teaching achievement awards, 1 special award for teaching achievements in Jilin Province, 5 first prizes for scientific and technological progress, and 1 first prize for outstanding social science achievements. There are 76 national and provincial-level scientific research platforms including Changchun National Bio-Industrial Base Medicine Pilot Platform, National Traditional Chinese Medicine Quality Testing Technology Platform (North), Xi Jinping Jilin Province New Age Socialist Ideological Education and Research Collaborative Innovation Center with Chinese Characteristics.

Changchun University of Chinese Medicine is the first batch of institutions approved by the Ministry of Education to accept and train foreign students, students from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, and Chinese government scholarships to China. It has conducted extensive academic exchanges and cooperation with universities and research institutions in 21 countries and regions.

The construction and development of the university has been widely praised by all walks of life and fully affirmed by governments at all levels. It is a national cultural education base for college students, a national traditional Chinese medicine cultural propaganda and education base, and a national science education base. Won the title of “National Civilized Unit” and “First National Civilized Campus”, and was awarded “National Typical College of Graduate Employment Experience” and “National Typical Experience College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship” by the Ministry of Education.
