Introduction to Guangdong Baiyun University

Guangdong Baiyun University (website) is a private full-time undergraduate college in Guangdong Province. It recruits students from 13 provinces including Guangdong, Hunan, Hubei, Guangxi, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Hainan, Jiangsu, Guizhou, Anhui and Xinjiang.

The predecessor of the university was the Guangzhou Baiyun Applied Technology School founded by Mr. Xie Kezhen in 1989. In 1999, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of the Baiyun Vocational and Technical College. In 2001, it was renamed Guangdong Baiyun Vocational and Technical College. In 2005, he was upgraded to undergraduate and changed his name to Guangdong Baiyun College. In 2009, the unit was authorized by the bachelor’s degree to review and review. In 2011, the Ministry of Education passed the assessment of the undergraduate teaching work. In 2018, he received an evaluation of the undergraduate teaching review of the Ministry of Education.

Campus

The university is located in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, covering an area of 1,350 acres. It has a standard plastic track and field stadium, as well as a gymnasium, tennis courts and basketball courts. The student residences are all equipped with water heaters, air conditioners, broadband and so on. There are more than 260 experimental (training) rooms and student science and technology innovation project studios. It has a library with more than 1.4 million books and rich digital resources. The Gigabit campus network has been built, and the campus has realized information management. At present, there are 19,000 students and 1,150 faculty members, including 940 full-time teachers.

Based on applied undergraduate education, the school actively develops professional postgraduate education, steadily expands international education, vigorously promotes continuing education, and forms a multi-level and multi-form talent training system. There are 16 secondary colleges and 46 undergraduate majors. Establish a discipline-based professional system that focuses on engineering, engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and art. There are 3 key disciplines of Guangdong Province, including design art, mechanical manufacturing and automation, business management, and 9 key disciplines. There are 9 school-level scientific research and innovation platforms.
