Introduction to Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College
Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College (江苏农牧科技职业学院) is the only one to cultivate talents who major in animal science and technology in Jiangsu province and the southeast area of China.
The college covers an area of about 4300mu with construction area of 780mu. More than 980,000 books and 120,000 electronic books are stored in the college library. Our college forms a pattern of the Phoenix Campus as the one main body with two wings: Jiangsu Modern Animal Husbandry Science and Technology Park and Jiangsu Chinese Herbal Medicine Science and Technology Park.
There are nearly 1000 staff members including more than 200 professors and associate professors. Among the 48 professors, there are 4 second-level professors and 5 third-level professors. There are more than 400 teachers with Doctor’s or Master’s Degree. Our college sets 50 majors, and enrolls the students all over the country. Now there are nearly 15000 students in our college.
Our college sets 13 schools and departments including: Animal Science and Technology School, Veterinary School, Animal Pharmaceutical School, Food Science and Technology School, Pet Science and Technology School, Aquatic Department, Horticulture Department, Economic and Trade Department, Information Engineering Department, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department, Basic Courses Department, Ideological and Political Department and Sports Department.
JSAHVC insists its concept of “Stick to the chain of agriculture and animal husbandry industry, cultivate talents depends on product, learn and scientific research, following the development of regional economic max growth”. Our college as the guide of idea of promoting education, ensures the scientific management, the aim is to service the “Peasants, Village and Agricultures”. Our college guidance of employment of the students combined with the model of production-learning-research.
