Shanxi Finance and Taxation College (山西省财政税务专科学校) is located in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province. It is a full-time technical college that trains high-level financial application talents. It is the first batch of national model higher vocational colleges. The school’s predecessor was the Shanxi Accounting School, which was established in 1963. On the basis of this, the Shanxi Provincial Finance and Taxation College was established in 1985 and is affiliated to the Shanxi Provincial Department of Finance. In 2002, with the approval of Shanxi Provincial People’s Government, the school and Taiyuan University of Technology jointly organized the School of Finance and Economics of Taiyuan University of Technology.

Shanxi Finance and Taxation College currently recruits students from 8 provinces across the country, with 5,822 full-time students and 239 correspondence students. Since the establishment of the school, it has sent more than 55,000 full-time graduates to the society and trained 140,000 in-service cadres. Shanxi Finance and Taxation College is located on the west bank of the beautiful Fenhe River, south of Yingzexi Street, with convenient transportation and superior conditions. It covers an area of 9,2932.7 square meters, a construction area of 128,328 square meters, and has a collection of 474,400 paper books (sets). There are 1,900 computers for teaching, and the value of teaching instruments and equipment is 42.518 million yuan. Teaching facilities such as network computer teaching centers, voice laboratories, multimedia classrooms, and campus networks are first-class in China.
