Introduction to Yang-En University

Yang-en University (website) was founded in 1987 by the patriotic overseas Chinese Mr. Wu Qingxing and his family. The Yang En Foundation is the first private university in the country to issue a national undergraduate certificate and a bachelor’s degree. The school covers an area of more than 2,000 acres, and the campus is surrounded by mountains and waters and beautiful scenery. In 2008, through the evaluation of the undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of Education, it became the first private college in Fujian Province to pass the assessment of undergraduate teaching work. The school has won the “China Overseas Chinese Federation Patriotism Education Base”, “Fujian Province Education System Patriotism Education Base”, “Fujian Provincial Party Construction and Ideological and Political Work Advanced Higher Education School”, “Fujian Province Pingan Campus”, “Honest and Trustworthy Demonstration Unit” and “National Defense Education Characteristics” The school has nearly 30 national, provincial and municipal honorary titles.

Campus

There are 8 colleges and 5 departments directly under the University of Yang En. The enrollment majors cover the subjects of economics, management, literature, law and engineering. In recent years, the school adheres to the orientation of the application-oriented and teaching-oriented local undergraduate colleges and universities, implements the development strategy of “system reform and connotation construction”, and in accordance with the deepening of innovation and entrepreneurship education reform as a breakthrough, comprehensively promotes the school’s transformation and development of school ideas, the theory Teaching, practical teaching and innovation and entrepreneurship education are combined to continuously improve the quality of applied innovative talents. At present, the school is moving towards the grand goal of initially establishing an “open, international” modern university.

After years of hard work and exploration, the university has established a goal of improving personality and improving quality, focusing on discipline construction, talent training model reform and social practice, research training, discipline and skill competition, student club activities, community service and other practical activities. In harmony, the quality development and innovative education system of “adult” education and “becoming talent” education are combined.

The University has worked hard to meet the needs of local economic and social development and industrial transformation and upgrading, strengthen the discipline construction, and consolidate the direction of the discipline. It has now established three provincial application-oriented discipline projects and cultivation projects. Focusing on the training objectives of applied talents and vigorously promoting transformation and development, the company has approved two provincial-level applied talent training professional groups, two provincial-level service industry specialty programs, and five provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship education reform pilot programs.

The university’s practical teaching system is complete. Professional laboratories, virtual simulation laboratories, entrepreneurial laboratories, and training centers cover basic professional subjects. It has four provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, such as the Economic and Financial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the News Media Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the Economics and Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Comprehensive Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, and the Interdisciplinary Internet of Things Talent Training Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center. The simulation experiment teaching center was selected into the provincial virtual simulation experiment teaching center, and the signal and system basic course experimental teaching platform was selected into the provincial basic course experimental teaching platform project.

The university has established teaching internships and training bases with nearly 100 enterprises and institutions. Among them, “Yang-en University School of Economics—Huafu Securities Co., Ltd. Business Department Practice Teaching Base” and “Yang-en Yuan and Creative Industry Park Practice Teaching Base” were identified as provincial-level school-enterprise cooperation teaching base; “Yang-en University” – The grassroots police camp practice teaching base”, “Yang-en University – Hui’an County Aixin Society Volunteer Service Practice Base” is the social practice base for college students in Fujian Province. Together with universities such as Xiamen University, our school has become a standing member of the National College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Alliance.

The university cooperated with the People’s Government of Luojiang District of Quanzhou City to build a college student entrepreneurship park. The park covers an area of more than 4,370 square meters and has gradually become a comprehensive platform for college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship practice integrating entrepreneurship incubation, innovative education and entrepreneurial practice. In December 2015, it was awarded the title of “Quanzhou University Graduates Entrepreneurship Incubation Base” by Quanzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. In December 2017, it was recognized as “Quanzhou Entrepreneurship Space” by Quanzhou Science and Technology Bureau.

The university cooperates with the government and enterprises to build a continuing education platform for first-line technical skills and management talents in the industrial park. We have established a cross-border e-commerce college in cooperation with Xiamen Shuomei Tiancheng E-Commerce Co., Ltd., covering an area of about 400 square meters and exploring a new model of school-enterprise cooperation.

University in the national and provincial electronic design competition, mathematical modeling competition, e-commerce “innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship” challenge, English contest, robot contest, advertising art competition, “Challenge Cup” college students extracurricular academic science and technology works competition, etc. In the event, there have been many achievements and styles. Since 2012, it has won 531 trophies and medals.
