Job Description
The China New Horizons (CNH) Director will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of experiential education programs in Hong Kong SAR, mainland China and the East Asia region. This role involves strategic planning, program development, and the oversight of operational and administrative functions to ensure high-quality educational experiences for diverse groups and individuals.
Main Responsibilities
1. Program Management
• Program Coordination: Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs and activities, ensuring alignment with CNH’s mission and educational standards.
• Training Development: Coordinate and lead training sessions for staff and facilitators, enhancing their skills in delivering effective experiential learning experiences.
• Client Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with schools, corporate clients, and community organizations to understand their needs and tailor programs accordingly.
2. Operational Oversight
• Facility Management: Ensure the proper maintenance and safety of training facilities and equipment, including Pak Lap and other venues.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all participants.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and uphold quality assurance measures to maintain high standards in program delivery and participant satisfaction.
3. Financial and Administrative Duties
• Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of programs, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Recruitment and Training: Assist in recruiting qualified staff and provide ongoing training and development to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of program activities, participant feedback, and financial transactions for reporting and evaluation purposes.
4. Strategic Development
• Network Expansion: Develop a network of clients and partners in mainland China and the East Asia region to enhance CNH’s outreach and impact.
• Innovation in Programming: Stay abreast of trends in experiential education and incorporate innovative practices into program development.
Qualifications
• Education: A recognized higher diploma or degree in Experiential Learning, Education, Outdoor Adventure Training, Social Work, or a related field.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years in educational program management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
o Proven experience in budget management and financial oversight.
• Skills:
o Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
o Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese is an advantage.
o Proficient in basic computer applications and educational technology.
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Certifications:
o Valid first-aid certification and CPR/AED.
o Relevant professional certifications recognized by National Sport/Educational Authorities are an advantage.
