Job Overview
The Design Tech/STEAM Teacher will be instrumental in fostering creativity and innovative problem-solving among students. Leveraging expertise in lesson planning and strong communication skills, this role involves developing engaging, hands-on STEAM activities tailored to meet diverse learning needs. The teacher will inspire students through a data-driven approach, personalizing learning experiences to support each student’s growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
-STEAM Course Development: Create and deliver courses in areas such as coding, programming, robotics, LEGO, and Arduino, enhancing students’ technical and creative capabilities.
-Lesson Planning: Develop comprehensive course structures and lesson plans aligned with educational standards, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
-Data-Driven Assessment: Utilize data to monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
-Learning Activities: Design and implement innovative, practical learning activities and materials that foster hands-on exploration and critical thinking.
-Inclusive Learning Environment: Tailor teaching methods to accommodate students from diverse backgrounds, promoting inclusivity and respect.
-Student Progress Monitoring: Continuously track and support individual student development, providing tailored feedback to guide improvement.
-Parent and Student Communication: Regularly communicate with parents and students, offering insights on progress and learning outcomes.
-Competition Coordination: Organize and mentor students for STEAM-related competitions, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and excellence.

Skills and Qualifications:
– Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with in-depth knowledge of robotics, programming, LEGO, and Arduino.
– Teaching Experience: Minimum of three years of proven success teaching STEAM subjects, with a strong record of fostering creative, hands-on learning.
– Passion for STEAM Education: Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching creative and technical subjects, focused on cultivating students’ innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
– Professionalism and Continuous Learning: High standard of professional conduct, with a commitment to staying updated on creative education methodologies.
– Effective Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities, essential for building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
– Inclusive and Adaptable Teaching Style: Ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds, with experience supporting native English-speaking students.
– Positive and Solution-Oriented Attitude: Brings a proactive, adaptable mindset to the classroom, fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
– Competition Experience (Preferred): Experience in guiding students through school team competitions is an advantage, highlighting skills in mentoring and teamwork.
