ESL Teacher Position Introduction​
I. Positions and Vacancies​

The job is based in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China.​

IV. Candidate Requirements​

Native English speaker
Hold at least a bachelor’s degree. Degrees in linguistics, literature, culture, or education are preferred
Provide a criminal background check report​
Previous teaching experience in China with references is an advantage.
TESOL/TEFL certification is a must.​

V. Position Description​

Workload: About 16 teaching hours per week.
Courses: Teach language courses such as speaking, writing, reading, and TOEFL/IELTS preparation courses.​

VI. Compensation & Benefits​

Salary: The pre-tax salary starts at a minimum of CNY 15,000, which may vary based on previous experience, educational attainment, and professional credentials.​
Insurance: Domestic medical insurance will be provided.​
Bonus: A round – trip ticket to the home country will be offered upon successful completion of the contract.​

1. School of Foreign Languages and Literatures
Established in 1947 at Lanzhou University, SFLL offers undergraduate courses in English, Russian, Japanese, German, and French. It also has master’s programs in related language and literature areas. With over 120 Chinese and 20 international teachers, it trains students in foreign language skills and cultural understanding.​

Administered by China’s Ministry of Education, LZU is a top “Double First – Class” university. It has around 20,600 undergraduates and 20,500 postgraduates. 3. Lanzhou City and Gansu Province​
Lanzhou, Gansu’s capital, is centrally located in China and was crucial on the Silk Road. The Yellow River flows through it, and it offers great food such as Beef Noodles. It serves as a good starting point for day – trips to other parts of Gansu. Gansu, in northwest China, spans three plateaus and two river basins. It has diverse landscapes and rich cultures.
