About Role

As Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in the organizational transformation of the Operations team for Dulwich College Shanghai. This role is responsible for leading and integrating the operations functions across the two campuses, ensuring seamless coordination and the implementation of strategic initiatives. By leveraging best practices and effective vendor management, the Head of Operations will drive operational excellence, enhance efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of the educational institutions.

Our School

Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong is a high-performing, market-leading international school in one of the most vibrant cities in the world. We were the first Dulwich College International school, opening our doors in 2003. Over the last 20 years, we have grown to become the school of choice in the city. The College is academically selective with a roll which currently stands at approximately 1,600. We are a diverse and dynamic community with students joining us from over 40 countries. Leadership Capabilities

Capabilities
•    Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate high-level organizational goals into actionable operational strategies.
•    Excellent vendor management skills, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and relationship building. Proven experience in working with major vendors in areas such as facilities management is essential.
•    Exceptional leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse operations team across two campuses.
•    Data-driven decision-making capabilities, with proficiency in analyzing operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, teachers, staff, students, and external partners.

Mandatory
•    Bachelor’s degree in a professional qualification or a related field. A master’s degree is highly preferred.
•    Minimum 10 years of experience in operations and facility management, with a proven track record in leading and integrating operations across multiple locations. 
•    Previous experience in an operations role, working with or for an outsourced service provider. 
 
Desired but not required
•    Experience in the education sector, especially in K12 education, is a significant advantage.
