Job Description
1. Salary and Benefits:
◆ Working hours: Monday-Friday 7:40-16:40, 8 working hours per day.
◆ Average Class sizes: no more than 30 students with maximum 2 Chinese teachers.
◆ Student age group: 6 to 12 years old
◆ Salary Range: 20,000-25,000 RMB/month
◆ Visa: Work Visa for foreign teacher
2. Job description:
English Teacher in Montessori elementary class.
The main responsibility of a teacher is to help your children learn, speak, read and write English. Your duties will range from the preparation of lesson plan, prepping of activities and class management. You are required to provide age appropriate and child-centered activities and lessons. Also be responsible for the safety of your children when they are in school.
Typical duties include:
①. Organizing and delivering lessons to children. Following the Montessori lead teacher to maintain discipline in the classroom. Creating a vibrant teaching atmosphere.
②. Preparing daily, weekly and monthly lesson plan. Accomplishing daily teaching records. Keeping observation records and reports.
③. Carrying out discussion with your team daily to ensure the classroom and lessons are well planned and executed.
④. Developing English effective, multisensory, and engaging lesson plans in line with the National/School Curriculum to meet all students’ needs.
⑤. Classroom management including cleanliness, decoration changed according to themes and take good care of teaching materials.
⑥. Providing ideas and participating in necessary school celebration and events. Cooperating with enrollment activities, parent workshops, and other related events in and out of school.
⑦. Being responsible for all kinds of safety work of class with your lead teacher. Being able to deal with emergencies, and accidents/incidents timely with your lead teacher.
⑧. Following lead teacher’s arrangement to help prepare lunch or snacks, indoor and outdoor activities, etc.
⑨. Follow school’s regulations and dress code.
⑩. Respecting and cultivating student’s independence. Using professional language and attitude when speak with students and adults.
3. Personal qualities required：
①. Native English speaker with Bachelor’s degree or above, clear pronunciation and pure English accent. At least 2 years of solid kids teaching experience from graduation for non-native speakers.
②. TEFL/TESOL certificate. Major in education or other related fields are preferred.
③. Age between 22-40. Clear criminal background check. Can apply Chinese work visa in English teaching position.
④. Ability to work in independently.
⑤. A good communicator and team player. Patience with good listening, planning and organizational skills.
⑥. Love children and being passionate in education.
⑦. Skills of instruments, dancing, singing, music, painting, PE, sports are preferred.
