Linyi University, located in the historical and cultural city of Linyi, Shandong Province, known as a commerce and logistics hub, an eco-friendly waterfront city, a red tourism destination, and a national civilized city, is a distinctive comprehensive university with coordinated development across multiple disciplines. It is among the first universities supported by Shandong Province for applied undergraduate education and has been recognized as an excellent institution for talent cultivation. The Ministry of Education has rated it as “Excellent in Undergraduate Teaching“.
The university is distinguished by its highly qualified faculty, with 1,157 teachers holding doctoral degrees, including 14 national-level talents (two recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars), 32 provincial/ministerial-level talents (e.g., Taishan Scholars), and two National Outstanding Teachers. Based on the “2025 Provincial Public Institution Recruitment Plan” issued by Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the needs of the university, we plan to recruit 430 staff members, including 109 senior positions and 321 intermediate positions. - Recruitment Conditions
1. Basic Conditions
(1)Hold the nationality of the People’s Republic of China;
(2)Abide by the Constitution and laws;
(3)Possess good moral character, physical condition and psychological quality suitable for the position;
(4)Intermediate position applicants should generally be under 40 (born after January 1984), and senior position applicants under 50 (born after January 1974). Age limits may be relaxed for urgently needed specialties or exceptional candidates;
(5)Comply with other relevant regulations and conditions for the recruitment of staff by public institutions in Shandong Province.
2. Criteria of Position

3. Active-duty military personnel, non-graduating students, individuals with a criminal record, those expelled from the Party or public office, individuals listed as dishonest under joint disciplinary measures, and others prohibited by law from being hired are not eligible to apply.

III. Levels and Categories
1. First-level Talents
Research in the discipline leads international academia, with world-class standards and significant achievements. The individual either meets Shandong Province’s criteria for “Outstanding Talent” or demonstrates equivalent excellence.
2. Second-level Talents
Individuals with profound academic attainments, significant global influence, and high-level original research achievements recognized by peers, or those who have made pioneering contributions to their field, considered as high-level talents capable of advancing or maintaining their discipline at an internationally advanced level; or those outstanding talents of equivalent caliber. Candidates should generally not exceed 55 years of age.
3. Third-level Talents
Highly accomplished individuals with deep academic expertise, significant influence, and major breakthroughs in research or forward-thinking ideas in their field’s frontiers. They can lead their fields to advance domestically or maintain a leading position; or equivalent talents. Candidates should generally not exceed 50 years of age.
4. Fourth Level Talents
Highly accomplished academics with notable influence, having attained significant achievements in scientific research; or individuals of equivalent standing. Candidates of natural sciences should generally not exceed 45 years of age; candidates of humanities and social sciences should generally not exceed 50 years of age.
5. Fifth Level Talents
Global outstanding talents with demonstrated strong research capabilities and development potential. Candidates of natural sciences should generally not exceed 45 years of age; candidates of humanities and social sciences should generally not exceed 50 years of age.
6. Sixth Level Talents
Postdoctoral researchers or doctoral graduates from globally recognized universities with significant research achievements; generally not exceeding 40 years of age.
7. Young Talents
Applicants should generally not exceed 40 years of age. Based on a comprehensive evaluation, candidates are categorized into four levels: Level A, Level B, Level C, and Level D.
Level A: Candidates with high-level representative achievements in their field, significant growth potential, strong innovation skills, and the ability to obtain national-level projects; or equivalent talents urgently needed in the dominant and distinctive disciplines.
Level B: Candidates with high-level representative achievements in their field, considerable growth and innovation potential, and the ability to obtain provincial or ministerial-level projects; or equivalent talents urgently needed in key disciplines.
Level C: Candidates with strong practical and innovative skills, meeting the position requirements of the university, cooperative enterprises and hospitals.
Level D: Competent in teaching and research, demonstrating potential for growth and innovation.
IV Recruitment Procedure
1. Release Recruitment Information
Release recruitment information to the public through the website of the Department of Teache’s Work, Linyi University (http://rsc.lyu.edu.cn).
2. Registration and Qualification Review
(1)Registration Time
This recruitment is for long-term positions. 7 working days after the release of this announcement, the university will start interviews, investigations, physical examinations and other procedures based on the application status for each position. Recruitment ends when quotas are filled. Unfilled positions remain open until December 31, 2025.
(2)Application Procedure
Applicants please log in to the recruitment website of Linyi University (https://zhaopin.lyu.edu.cn/product/recruit/website/RecruitIndex.jsp?FM_SYS_ID=lyd), select “Intermediate and Senior Positions” in “Recruitment Positions” to view the recruitment position requirements, register, log in, apply for a position, and provide accurate personal information as required. Each applicant can apply for only one position.
(3)Application Materials
①Academic degree and diploma certificates recognized by the state (for overseas applicants, “Certificate of Overseas Academic Degree and Diploma” issued by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange must be provided).
②Fresh graduates from regular universities should submit scanned copies of ID card and the employment recommendation form issued by graduating university (including the transcript with the official seal of graduating university). The corresponding academic degree and diploma certificates must be obtained by December 31, 2025.
③Applicants with associate senior-level or higher positions must submit qualification documentation verifying the professional title.
④Applicants with postdoctoral experience must submit documentation verifying postdoctoral research.
⑤Documentation of representative achievements from the past five years, including published papers or book manuscripts along with citation reports,evidence of leading scientific research projects,certificates of awards received,and proof of patents granted.
All original and photocopied documents submitted during the registration process must be presented at the interview. The university will return the originals after reviewing the originals and photocopies of the certificates, and keep the copies.
(4) Qualification Review
Applicant qualification reviews will be conducted throughout the recruitment process. Applicants must accurately complete and submit their personal information. If any false information is discovered in the submitted materials, the applicant’s eligibility will be immediately revoked.
3. Examination
In accordance with provincial recruitment regulations, senior professional and doctoral positions will use a simplified process with only an interview. The interview score serves as the total evaluation score.
The interview includes teaching presentations, oral defenses and discussions to assess applicants’ competencies, skills, and knowledge relevant to the position. Scores are on a 100-point scale with a passing score of 70. Results are rounded to two decimal places, and only those who pass advance to the next stage.
4. Physical Examination and Mental Health Assessment
Candidates will be selected at a 1:1 ratio for physical examination and mental health assessment. The university organizes the physical examination at a county-level or higher general hospital, following relevant regulations. Standards and items will align with the guidelines in the “Notice on Amending Certain Contents of the General Standards for Civil Servant Physical Examinations (Trial)” (No. 140 [2016]) and other applicable national rules. Candidates not attending the examination as scheduled are taken as forfeiting their eligibility. Re-examinations, if needed, must occur at a different hospital, limited to one instance, with the re-examination result being final. Mental health assessment will assess candidates’ psychological well-being and resilience.
5. Background Review
Candidates will be ranked by total score for each recruitment position, and top scorers will be selected at a 1:1 ratio for investigation. The investigation includes individual interview, file review and field investigation to evaluate candidate’s ideological and political performance, moral integrity, professional competence, work achievements, legal compliance and ethical standards. It also verifies job qualifications and the accuracy of provided information. Files will be rigorously checked according to the Shandong provincial regulation “Opinions on Further Strictly Managing Cadre Files” issued in 2017, focusing on “three ages (DOB, working years and years in the Party), two experiences (academic experience and working experience), and one identity (cadre identity)” Any unresolved issues in files may halt employment procedures.
6. Publicity and Employment Procedures
Candidates passing the examination, medical check, mental health assessment and background review will undergo a 5 working-day public announcement. Afterward, candidates with no disqualifying issues will be submitted for record-filing to the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. Candidates with verified issues impacting employment eligibility will not be hired. Qualified candidates will receive a “Notice of Record-filing” to process formalities and sign an employment contract. New hires will serve a probationary period; successful completion leads to formal employment, while failure results in contract termination.
V. Treatments
1. In addition to the basic salary prescribed by the state and the institution, all categories of talents will receive generous housing subsidies and research start-up funds. High-level talent positions also include additional position allowances as part of their compensation package.
2. Talents of Level Five and Six meeting the criteria for the “fast-track” professional promotion may be directly appointed as professors or associate professors upon completion of the probationary period during internal position competitions.
3. Levels One through Four have flexible contract-based positions with agreed tasks. Their benefits equal 50% of performance bonuses and research funds for Levels One through Four.
There are also flexible contract-based positions with tasks defined by agreement for Level One to Level Four talents. The treatment is 50% of the performance bonuses and research start-up funds provided to talents of Levels One to Level Four.
