We are currently seeking a Math and Science teacher for our Middle School department, at the Pudong campus. The position involves teaching an integrated Social Studies and English program, experience teaching both subjects is strongly preferred.

What we are looking for:

Skills and Qualifications:

It is expected that candidates for this position will be highly qualified and able to work with teachers and students to maximize impact on learning outcomes.
– Minimum bachelor’s degree or above.
– Minimum five (5) years teaching experience.
– Demonstrated experience:
o teaching middle school.
o collaborating on curriculum, instruction, and assessment with other teachers within and between disciplines.
o teaching using an inquiry-based approach.
o teaching in alignment to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), including an understanding of the nature of teaching about phenomena, and to the Common Core Math Standards.
o meeting the diverse needs of middle level learners.
o leading advisory or similar model for supporting students’ social and emotional growth.
o utilizing effective classroom management strategies that are rooted in an understanding of adolescent development.
o co-teaching with an EAL and/or LS specialist.
o working with learning management systems (e.g. Schoology).
