Position Description
The high-energy particle and nuclear research area at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) invites applications for several postdoctoral positions beginning in the Summer or Fall of 2025. The successful candidate(s) will work independently and collaboratively with the area faculty members on
1) Perturbative QFT, Effective field theory, scattering amplitudes and Feynman integrals
2) Hardon structure, matter at extreme gluon density
3) Hot and dense QCD matter and heavy ion collisions
4) The application of AI
5) Dark Matter and Neutrino Experiments
The area presently consists of 7 full-time faculty members: Yao Ji, Bo-Wen Xiao, Xing Wang, Jing-Qiang Ye, Yi Yin, Jian-Hui Zhang, and Kai Zhou.
The appointment is initially for two years. The expected applicants should have a Ph.D degree within the past five years in particle physics and/or nuclear physics. Applicants will be required to submit a CV, list of publications, statement of research interests, and three letters of reference to AJO. Review of the application will start on Jan. 15, 2025, and will continue until the positions are filled.
