Professor/Assistant Professor in Master of Science in Data Science
(concentration in Business Statistics) (Ref: FST241109)


 


Job Description 


Candidates
with expertise in the one or more of the following areas such as statistics, data
science, big data analysis, business analysis, finance, etc. Candidates are
expected to teach related post graduate student courses and supervise students
on their working projects.


 


Job
Requirement 


Candidates
should have a PhD degree in a related discipline
and a
strong sense of responsibility and professional ethics. Extensive industry
experience will also be considered. Successful candidates are expected to be
committed to excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching with English
as the main instruction media. Preference will be given to candidates with
demonstrable ability to undertake independent teaching and research. Achievements
such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed
journals and scholarly presses will perform extra evidence on candidates’ applications
and their further career path. Academic rank will be determined in
accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.


 


Benefits and Appointment Terms


Commencing
salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Appointments
to these positions will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual
agreement.
