Duties and Responsibilities:
Curriculum Support
The ESL teacher will provide curriculum support evidenced by:
A familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum as it pertains to the ESL Teacher’s assignment.
Ability to assist students with the completion of assigned tasks and classwork.
The ability to adapt and differentiate materials in collaboration with the teacher.
Under the guidance and direction of the classroom teacher, instructional support is provided to individuals and small groups of students.
Assist in implementing instructional plans and provide support and supervision while the teacher is engaged with others.
Assist in monitoring student progress towards set learning goals and provide feedback, guidance and reinforce taught concepts where necessary.
Requirements:
Basic:
Bachelor’s degree or above in an ESL-related subject.
PGCE (with QTS preferable)/PGCEi or an equivalent teaching license from home country.
Minimum of 2 years of recent successful teaching experience, preferably in an international school.
Strong English and Chinese Skills- other languages spoken are a bonus.
Strong organisational skills.
A lifelong learner who is willing to learn and use basic teaching methods, techniques, and procedures in the classroom.
