As a Technology & Design teacher, you stimulate and encourage students’ natural curiosity, introducing them to foundational concepts starting from kindergarten. You cover STEAM topics such as coding, 3D modeling, robotics, electrical engineering, multimedia, and productivity. You emphasize using a designer’s perspective to solve real-world challenges, helping students make connections between subjects and apply concepts to different situations. You also collaborate with fellow teachers to incorporate and enhance student learning by blending ICT content with other subjects, such as art or history.
You will also: Foster meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a personalized and successful learning trajectory Guide students in pursuing academic achievement, personal responsibility, and intellect Pursue continuous professional growth by participating in ongoing professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and staying informed on the latest educational techniques and best practices in your field Contribute to a positive and collaborative school community
A qualified candidate should possess strong ICT-CS skills. A background in Technology/Design teaching is preferable as well as experience with block-based coding, 3D modeling software, robotics/electrical engineering, and productivity/multimedia.
