Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Upper School MYP PE & Health and DP Sports, Exercise &Health Science Teacher for our Health and Physical Education Department. This position will serve as Head of Department for Middle School students, teaching IB MYP curriculum.

Skills and Qualifications:

– Bachelor Degree in Physical Education or related field
– Minimum 3 years of experience teaching at the middle school level
– Experience teaching IB MYP curriculum preferred
– Strong communication skills both written and verbal
– Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

1) Develop lesson plans that align with IB MYP and DP curriculum standards.
2) Teach classes ranging from grades 6 through 11. (first year of SEHS course will lead to Grade 12 in following year)
3) Serve as Head of Department by managing departmental resources including budgeting.
4) Collaborate effectively with other teachers within the department.
5) Provide feedback on student progress regularly through assessments such as formative/summative assessments etc.
6) Participate actively in professional development opportunities provided by the school.
